Eoin Joseph Gerard Morgan (pronounced the same as "Owen") (born 10 September 1986) is an Irish cricketer who plays forEngland. A left-handed batsman, he plays county cricket for Middlesex and has been selected for England's Test, ODI and Twenty20squads. He originally represented his native Ireland at international level before switching to play for England. He is the only player in history to score an ODI hundred for two nations and is particularly noted for his end of innings hitting ability, seeing him labelled as a 'finisher'. He is also noted as being a skilful player of the reverse sweep shoOn 2 March 2010, Morgan became the first ever player to score centuries for two nations, as he scored an unbeaten 110 against Bangladesht. His reverse sweep has been influenced by the game ofhurling which is played mostly in Ireland
.On 16 August 2008, Morgan represented the England Lions in a list A match against the touring South Africans. He scored 47* in an unbeaten partnership of 113 with Samit Patel in the course of England Lions securing a six wicket victory.
